If you hadn’t worked it out already, the IPL trumps the likes of the Big Bash, CPL or PSL when it comes to popularity. After all, it’s perfectly normal that Indian customers want to bet not just on their own domestic league but more importantly: the best league!

And talking of best, the best news is that IPL betting in India is now 100% safe and legal.

Changes in regulations in India means it’s completely legal for you to open an account and bet at a cricket betting site, as long as it’s fully licensed, which of course Pure Win is.

IPL Satta 2022

If you like to bet on IPL cricket, it’s worth remembering that the number and variety of markets on offer knows no limit!

The greater the popularity of the event, the greater the number of markets on offer. And as we’ve seen already, few events are as popular as the IPL.

So you can expect to see every single angle of the Indian Premier League covered, from who’s going to win it, to who will be the top batsman or which side will finish rock bottom.

So, as you see, it’s not just about IPL results but plenty of other aspects of the tournament, as well.

IPL Winner

Winning the IPL is a huge achievement given the competitive nature of the competition and quality among all eight sides. That's why this is always one of the top IPL betting markets for all online cricket betting fans.

So there are good rewards on offer for those who can predict who’s going to win it. Remember that you’re likely to get competitive IPL odds on any team before the tournament actually starts. As an example, by the time Mumbai or Chennai have started well, their odds will have dropped in the meanwhile.

Match-Winner

The most popular of the IPL betting markets! Do your research and put your money down on who you think will win the match. Simple!

Customers should remember that these days there are no ‘ties’ in T20 cricket anymore. Any game that’s tied goes to a Super Over. So if you bet on CSK and they eventually win in a Super Over, your bet on CSK will still be a winner.

Our free cricket betting tips will always cover this for each and every cricket match in the Indian Premier League.

Toss Winner

The ultimate 50/50 of the IPL betting markets. Or is it? If you study the status really carefully, you’ll see that for whatever reason, some captains have a far better record at the toss than others.

India’s main man Virat Kohli, for example, has a particularly poor record at tosses! So it may pay to consistently go against him.

This is a market that’s extremely popular in India and as one of the best IPL betting sites, you will always find it here at Pure Win.

Rock Bottom

This is one of the more interesting IPL betting markets. The likes of Rajasthan and the Punjab Kings have plenty of experience of finishing rock bottom in the IPL. They have been the two big strugglers over the years despite that first season win for the Royals all those years ago.

No one wants to finish rock bottom of course but there are some competitive odds on offer if you can predict who will finish last in the Group Stages before the opening game gets underway.

Top Batsman

Winning the Orange Cap is a huge honour for any batsman. After all, most of the world's best batsmen are all here so to finish top of the pile in terms of runs scored for the whole Indian Premier League, is a huge achievement.

This is one of the most popular long-term (also known as ‘outright’) markets and with most batsmen available at odds of at least 8.0, if you can get it right, it can prove extremely profitable.

Top Bowler

Very similar to the Orange Cap, the Purple Cap is also as hard to win as it is a huge honour.

This one goes to the IPL’s top bowler over the course of the season. Past winners have included Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Andrew Tye and Dwayne Bravo. Meaning Purple Cap winners of the past read like a ‘who’s who’ of T20 cricket bowlers.

Anywhere between about 25 and 30 wickets will be needed to win it, on average.

Indian Premier League Teams 2022

We’re about to go through the IPL 2022 team list and tell you just a little bit about the ten teams who will be contesting the 2022 edition of the competition.

There have been many changes thoughout the history of the IPL that have made it what it is today. Ever since Rajasthan and Chennai came back from a suspension in 2018, it’s always been the same eight teams, although in 2021 ‘Punjab’ recently changed their name from Kings XI Punjab to Punjab Kings. There have also been two extra teams added!

Find all the IPL cricket teams below!

Mumbai Indians

The most successful side in IPL history with five wins, including going back-to-back in 2019 and 2020.

In 2020 they beat Delhi in the final pretty convincingly, in a season where they looked unstoppable from just about the very first match.

Chennai Super Kings

The only side (bar Mumbai) to have won it more than twice. They won it in 2010, 2011, 2018 and again in 2021.

They’ve always been extremely competitive, with the exception of 2020 when they flopped as a change of venue and loss of important players took its toll.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi have never won it and the closest they came was in 2020 when they did extremely well to make their first-ever final after a really strong campaign.

They lost convincingly to Mumbai in the final but showed great progress under young skipper Shreyas Iyer.

They’ve got an excellent core of Indian players and look very solid.

Punjab Kings

They’ve been one of the IPL’s big strugglers and to date, only have one final to show for their efforts, when they lost to KKR back in 2014.

The good news is that in Mayank Agarwal they have one of India’s current best opening batters.

Kolkata Knight Riders

The third most successful side in IPL history with two wins in the two finals they’ve made to date.

All in all, results haven’t been so good lately, including missing out on the Playoffs in 2020 and finishing in 4th position in 2021.

Rajasthan Royals

That win back in 2008 under the captaincy of the great Shane Warne seems a long time ago now.

That’s as good as it got for the Royals who have never made a final since and have spent most seasons rooted to the bottom of the table, or very close to it.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB probably should have won a few IPL titles by now but so far they haven’t actually won any!

The closest they came were finals in 2009, 2011 and 2016, losing to the (now defunct) Deccan Chargers, CSK and SRH respectively. It’s all rather disappointing for a side that’s had Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers on board for years.

They just about made the Playoffs last year but lost to KKR in a low-scoring game in The Eliminator.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

They won it in 2016 with David Warner as captain and with a team of brilliant bowlers, who were the players who essentially won them the tournament.

Warner was sacked from the captaincy in 2021 just before the IPL was suspended with Kane Willaimson taking over in what looks to be a permanent move.

For the past few years they’ve had the wonderful Rashid Khan in the side and he’s been consistently good year after year.

They lost the 2020 Qualifier 2 to Delhi and finished rock bottom in the 2021 edition of the IPL.

Lucknow Super Giants

One of the 2 new teams that have been introduced for the 2022 edition.

There’s not much to say about them just yet, but with KL Rahul leading the side, along with Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi signed to them, you can expect some great things from them this season!

Gujarat Titans

The second of the 2 new teams that have been introduced for the 2022 edition.

They certainly made a big statement by signing Hardik Pandya to the franchise and giving him the captaincy. Along with two of the IPL’s top bowlers - Mohamad Shami and Rashid Khan - there’s certainly a lot of interest around the Titans.
