Many observers thought the Titans would struggle this season. Of the two newcomers, it was widely believed the Lucknow Super Giants had the strongest Mega Auction.
However, the acquisition of David Miller was a prime example of doing diligent scouting and understanding how the franchise wants to play. Miller had been struggling for game time over the past couple of seasons, and didn’t get a look in for the Rajasthan Royals last year. He’s proven many people wrong with some key innings throughout the tournament.
There are no new injury concerns for team management to consider - we expect an unchanged line-up from the victory over the Royals in the first qualifier.
RR Team News
The Royals have been very fortunate with injuries throughout the campaign. Only Hetmyer (a brief paternity leave) has been absent for any period of time. Once again, skipper Samson has a full roster from which to pick.
Obed McCoy was in brilliant form at the death against RCB on Friday. He is not afraid to attempt variation under pressure, an approach that can sometimes be expensive but also yield wickets.
